The new album is going to be darker and heavier than the last album and consequently is going to be called It Gets Darker. A release date will be set very soon, once a few printing/duplication glitches have been ironed out.
The new album - It Gets Darker - will be released on the new netlabel Sonic Serendipity Records, and the last album - Time to Play - will be retroactively released on Sonic Serendipity Records also.
'A substantial release that reinvigorates the energy of the past while keeping a firm grip on the current pulse of electronics ... definitely time to play this album from start to end.'
The new album - Time to Play - has been reviewed on Connexion Bizarre, which is a very high-profile electronic music webzine.
The review gets off to a good start by proclaiming that 'Dicepeople, Matt Brock’s one man project, delivers a delicious mix of hard synth-driven electronica and melodic IDM.' You can read the full review here.
So, all in all, this is a great bit of feedback for the new album. Dicepeople are making progress!
Dicepeople track Wormsign seems to be the DJs' favourite at the moment - it's recently been played on the Pull the Plug show on Resonance FM, and also on Quexotic Adventures on NSB Radio by my friend Quextal. Quextal's whole mix is well worth checking out - more info on the Music page.
Ghost (one of the tracks from Time to Play, the new album) got played on DIGITAL::NIMBUS on KUCI 88.9 FM alongside Meat Beat Manifesto, :wumpscut:, Autechre, Plastikman, Future Sound of London, and others. Go to the Music page for playlist, stream and MP3 download.
